Light it up Blue - World Autism Awareness Day

The team at Bike to the Beach wanted to give out a BIG thank you to everyone who joined us on our “Light it up Blue” training ride.
On April 2nd, a group of cyclists with Bike To The Beach kicked off Autism Awareness Month by raising their kickstands and peddling around downtown DC for a purpose. Several of the bikers who geared up for the “Light It Up Blue” ride have been long-time supporters of Bike To The Beach and participants of the non-profit’s annual Century Ride, a one day 100-mile charity challenge bike ride from DC to Dewey Beach, Delaware.
Cyclists gathered at the Autism Speaks headquarters on 20th and K Street, NW and embarked on an 8-mile jaunt through downtown DC, passing several of the iconic landmarks along the way that lit up the town with brilliant blue lights as part of Autism Speaks’ third annual “Light It Up Blue” campaign.
Thank you again for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you and many more at our next one!
Don’t forget, NEXT FRIDAY (April 13) is the official Bike to the Beach kick off party at Tommy Joes Restaurant at 5:00pm. Hope to see you there!!
